Bio of The Teacher

 

Crystal Tkach brings with her a great deal of professional experience as a professional dancer and dance teacher of many forms. She has trained professionally since the age of 12, is a graduate and certified teacher from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Teacher’s course, holds her Associate Teaching Diploma with the I.S.T.D. a Graduate with ADAPT certification and Diploma in Tap and Jazz . Crystal also holds a Diploma in Applied Anatomy and Physiology for Dancers. In addition, has completed all CDTA exams in both Jazz and Tap. She has also completed RAD Ballet Exam from Pre-Primary including her Advanced. Most currently trained for her Advanced 2 Cecchetti exam in Winnipeg and awarded with a mark of Highly Commended.

Crystal’s stage and professional and performance experience is just as extensive. From 2004 – 2006 she was on contract with Elite Model Management in Toronto, Ontario, working as an editorial and cover model. While living in Los Angeles was cast to be a Host for MTV’s reality show “NEXT!” In 2006-2007 she danced professionally aboard the Caribbean Princess for Princess Cruise Lines also performed with the RWB’s In Concert Hour series in the ballet productions of Coppelia and The Secret Garden as a professional division student. She was featured in numerous Feature Films and Music Videos including McMaster and James music video in 2003, Hello Goodbye for LIVE ON ARRIVAL that had reach the top 10 charts in Canada and has been nominated for THE BEST NEW ARTIST at the CANADIAN RADIO MUSIC AWARDS. July 29, 2007: LIVE ON ARRIVAL’s new single “Hello Goodbye” has been awarded the “CHUM Radio Emerging Artist Award” for August 2007. Crystal also played the role of “Charice” in the made for television mini-series “The Harp”, directed by Sarah Polley. Ms. Tkach was a featured extra, 1980’s reporter, in the 2 part mini series “The Green River Killer, Chasing the Devil” for the Lifetime Movie Network directed by Norma Bailey, which has aired on LMN and on Showtime. Most recently along side renowned choreographer Brian Friedman in the Movie "Strings" which will be seen in Theaters across the country.
